After the first edition’s success, Valencia Open 500 will organize again, together with Ensuma Congresos and Superdeporte, the II Foro Internacional del Deporte Valencia 2012.  
In this second edition, which coincides with the tournament’s 10th anniversary, the Foro will be presented as a practical experience, where new activities will be held focused mainly towards networking between assistants and speakers, reinforcing the interchange of experiences and knowledge.

This year the Foro will feature 2 types of sessions:

• Sport & Business: Session addressed to professionals who work in sports marketing and communication fields, sports promoters, sports clubs directors, etc.  A session where famous experts of companies like NBA, HEAD, FIFA, Laureus Foundation, Real Madrid International School or the Federación Española de Baloncesto, will talk about their strategies to face the global economic crisis as well as the challenges of the sports world in particular: how to confront it and with what resources, how to look for sponsorship (public and private), marketing and communication plans, etc.  Other important brands and organizations linked to the sports world will also be represented: Coca-cola, Pelayo Seguros, the Olympic Bid for Madrid 2020, or Zurich Insurance. The whole session will be under a dynamic and open format that will promote and facilitate the interrelation between all the participants: short presentations, wide debates, and networking. 

• Open FID: These sessions are open to everyone, to all fans and sport lovers.  Themes of general interest will be dealt with, by the hands of great ambassadors of the sport like the triathlete Chris Mccormack, former tennis player Emilio Sanchez Vicario, the Olympic marathon athlete Carles Castillejo or the Skyrunning World Series 2011 World Champion, Oihana Kortazar, amongst others. These sessions will be structured in 2 masterclass sessions: Open FID I (Wednesday 24th) and Open FID II (Thursday 25th). Each block will be formed not only by professional sportsmen and women, but also by coaches, dietitians, promoters… These sessions will have a more active and recreational approach: technical workshops structured as open and participative debate forums, including practical sessions.
  A unique opportunity to exchange and get first-hand opinions, tricks, secrets and experiences from real professionals.
  

Open FID sessions will include a 5Km Running session with Luis Alberto Hernando, elite trailrunner Skyrunning World Series champion by Rio Turia river. A great opportunity to train with one of the best trailrunners of the moment!!
